Solidarity with workers USLM/ Union of Free Trade Unions of Mauritania
The World Federation of Teachers Unions (FISE), affiliated to the World Federation of Trade Unions, representing the militant educators all over the world, expresses its internationalist solidarity with the schoolteachers in Mauritania who face difficult working conditions without health security
FISE denounces the above practices and stands by the side of the teachers in Mauritania, demanding the fulfillment of their just demands and the overall improvement of their working conditions.
Mr. Addy Ould Emsidef is a devoted educator who has dedicated his life to the service of generations and now suffers without the necessary support for his treatment. Such conditions are a painful reminder of the sacrifices made by teachers everywhere and the urgent need to respect and uphold their dignity.
Teachers and all workers in the public and private sectors must have free social security, free treatment, health insurance, and medicine. It is the duty of all societies to ensure that those who shape the future of our children are themselves cared for in times of need.
We call upon the teachers and workers’ unions all over the world to strengthen our struggle for free public social and health security.
On behalf of FISE, we extend our heartfelt support to our brothers and sisters in Mauritania. We join your call for the establishment of a special fund to support the medical needs of teachers, and we hope that the authorities will take swift and meaningful action to address this urgent matter.
