Solidarity statement for Nepal’s Teacher and Employees Movement
Confederation of Nepalese Teachers are in a sit-in protest action. They are demanding service security, minimum wage facilities, career development, pension, social security and trade unions rights.
World Federation of Teacher’s Union, FISE expresses solidarity support to the protesting teachers and employees. FISE appeals to the National Government of Nepal to have a democratic dialogue with the Union and resolve their legitimate demands. Further Government of Nepal should immediately promulgate the Education Act in the larger interest of Teaching community and Education of the country.
