CALL TO “BLOCK EVERYTHING” AND FOR A GENERAL STRIKE
ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 AND THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2025
The General Secretariat of the World Federation of Teachers’ Unions FISE, an affiliated member of the World Federation of Trade Unions WFTU FSM, expresses its solidarity with the working class of France and the new General Strike to be held on Wednesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 18, 2025. The WFTU-FISE further expresses solidarity with the call of several trade union organizations, including the CGT, and the daily mobilizations of workers in all sectors, including teaching and education, in response to the austerity plan implemented by the governments of François Bayrou and Macron.
We support the massive organized struggles, strikes, and various militant actions of the working class, youth, and people of France against the government’s anti-worker policies.
Long live the struggle of the workers of France! Long live International Solidarity!
