Dear Teachers,

    On behalf of the World Federation of Teachers’ Unions (FISE), we express our deepest solidarity and heartfelt greetings to the teachers of Nepal and to the Confederation of Nepalese Teachers (CNT), an active Leader of Nepalese teachers and school employs.

    We highly acknowledge and commend the continued efforts of CNT and all Nepalese educators who

    are standing at the frontline of the educational movement, advocating for quality, equitable, and accessible education for all. Your tireless dedication in promoting scientific, secular, and public education rooted in

    democratic values is a powerful example to teachers and trade unionists around the world.

    The Nepalese teachers’ struggle for professional dignity, better working conditions, and the

    transformation of education as a tool for social justice aligns strongly with the goals of our international movement. Despite the political, economic, and geographical challenges, your unwavering commitment to educational reform and union activism has contributed significantly to the broader struggle for a just and people- centred education system.

    As we meet at the 20th International Conference of WFTU-FISE, we reaffirm our full support to your ongoing campaigns in Nepal. Your presence in this international forum strengthens our collective voice and enriches our understanding of the diverse yet united struggle teachers face across the globe.

    The protection of public education from privatization and commercialization Adequate investment in educational infrastructure and teacher development

    Fair wages, job security, and trade union rights for all educators An education system that fosters peace, critical thinking, and global solidarity
