No to military attacks against Venezuela!
We demand urgent international solidarity

The Unified Confederation of Workers of Venezuela (CUTV) condemns the
cowardly attacks perpetrated against various locations in the Venezuelan capital
region by military forces in the service of U.S. imperialism, in abominable
violation of international law. In this regard, we urgently call upon the
international class-conscious labor movement to speak out and condemn this
ongoing military aggression, which is part of the escalating series of attacks
against the Venezuelan people and all of Latin America and the Caribbean, in
application of the criminal Trump corollary to the colonial Monroe Doctrine. The CUTV calls on the workers of Venezuela to take measures to protect
themselves and preserve their lives, and to cooperate in every way possible with
the defense of the Venezuelan nation, which is the responsibility of the
Republic’s military forces. As we have categorically stated on other occasions, it is up to the Venezuelan
people to resolve the national crisis by exercising their right to self-determination, a principle we must defend against the ambitions of foreign powers vying for
control of our oil wealth and other strategic resources. The struggle for national and popular sovereignty, the right to self-determination, peace, and the upholding of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela are our guiding principles at this time. CUTV Executive Committee
